The Upcoming Path Of Exile 3.15 Expansion (Boat League) Made Players Quite Thrill

Path Of Exile 3.15 League Makes Gamers Excited For Probably Boat Expansion

The studio Grinding Gear Games’ Path of Exile is quickly approaching the end of the current Expansion, PoE: Ultimatum, which released back in April this year. Based on that, a brand new league will pretty soon make its debut during one of the studio’s Live Streaming sessions. Path of Exile Ultimatum, well, as a League, also had its own moments, such as the great community engagement from the very few weeks. This was clearly shown via the posts about the successful gambles with the Trialmaster, as well as the ones that had already gone horribly wrong. With the Path of Exile 3.15 update probably coming in around three weeks from now on, a lot of Path of Exile faithful players are wondering what the trailer from yesterday was all about, particularly because the focus seemed to be more on new skills rather then just revealing too much about that Expansion.

However, the real issue is, the new trailer for Path of Exile’s upcoming Expansion did present a terrain patch that is filled with skulls that had already glowing symbols and were mounted on spikes. Both in color and motif, the skulls remind all the PoE players of Fairgraves as well as the various microtransactions like buying or selling Path of Exile currency associated with this theme. Then, the trailer concludes with a few brand new NPCs (Non-Player Characters) standing in snowy terrain, well, to some extent, look like a mix of pirates and Night Watch warriors from the Game of Thrones. One of these NPCs seems to be sporting a peg leg, and with the overall pirate-esque theme of the trailer, it’s not surprising at all that a lot of long-time players began obsessing with the Path of Exile “BOAT EXPANSION” meme that was particularly dominant when Path of Exile Heist was announced for the very first time.

Memes, Boat Expansion, New Skills, As Well As What Could Be Coming In Path Of Exile:

The studio Grinding Gear Games has been building a quite enormous community for Path of Exile over the years, as well as with the ever-expanding game that it created, it became quite natural to engage the community with jokes and memes. The boat Expansion meme is not the only one that the community still clings to, with some other honorable mentions like the toucan and fishing secrets included, however, with Heist, the possibility of ships and sea action seemed quite plausible actually. For this reason, what looks like a pirate theme for the Path of Exile 3.15 update is still a big deal, in spite of the official Twitter account for PoE stating that ships are not a thing in this upcoming Expansion.

However, it should be noted, that Path of Exile would need to undergo a huge engine changes in order to let the studio Grinding Gear Games work on water-related content as well as player interactions, and this is even more likely to come with Path of Exile 2. As a matter of fact, one of the trailers for Path of Exile 2 does show a character moving around on the deck of a ship, and that means that boat Leagues, well, finally could finally be a thing in the coming future.

When it comes to the new elements of the trailer, there seem to be at least four brand new active skills coming to Path of Exile, with one of them looking like the love child of quite popular Skill Gems like Bladestorm, Cyclone, and Reap. The others look like to be spells, with two of them looking like Chaos-based abilities due to their purple glows. Basically, another is confirmed to be a lightning skill that pretty much looks like Doryani’s Touch, only with a more squared pattern for its Area of Effect (AoE).

Little else is shown in Path of Exile, therefore it still remains to be seen what the Expansion will actually be about. Even though right now this is speculation at this point, the studio Grinding Gear Games is known to sow seeds for what is about to come to this game through otherwise meaningless posts or comments. And circling back to the Tweet with the checklist of things that are not included, each item of the list not appearing in the game is marked with an “X,” and what does that mean? Pirates, and maybe some buried treasures to unearth?

Last but not least, Path of Exile will be available to play on Mac, PC platforms, and PS4, Xbox One consoles.
